In recent years,the competition between the enterprises increasingly depends on the talents they have owned.Many national companies,especially the private companies,have been paying full attention to employee motivation as an important part of human resource management.Nowadays,the new generation staffs are emerging and becoming the main force in the labour market.Because of their unique growing environment and working motivation,they are very different from their former employees.The ongoing motivation mechanism for the traditional employees has been far from meeting the new needs.Therefore,it is very necessary and imperative to study the new generation staffs'working motivation problem.Taking MH Company as an example,the turnover rate of the new generation staffs has increased year by year,which has brought a certain negative impact to the company,such as increasing the operating cost of the enterprise and making negative psychological implication to other staffs,which may weaken their working performance,and even do harm to the reputation of the enterprise.Therefore,this paper takes MH Company as a sample to study the motivation problems of the new generation staffs.On the base of the classical theories of staff motivation and the use of many investigation and analysis methods,it finds out the main weaknesses in the new generation staffs' motivation in MH Company,including performance and compensation motivation is not effective,working conditions and content is not satisfying,staffs' training and career development is overlooked,corporate culture influence is fragile,personal respect and emotional motivation is not sufficient,etc.The causes of these problems are analyzed on the levels of social,enterprise and individual.Based on the analysis of the new generation staffs'characteristics,this paper offers some methods to optimize and improve the motivation mechanism of MH's new generation staffs by the following methods:improving the performance appraisal methods,increasing the salary motivation,paying more attention to staff training and career development,optimizing working conditions and contents,reshaping corporate culture,etc.The implementation principle and safeguard measures of optimization and improvement are also presented.Face-to-face interview,questionnaire survey and other research methods are technically used in this paper.It also refers to the main researches of staff motivation at home and abroad,the knowledge of management,economics,psychology and other disciplines.The paper is not only supposed to improve and optimize the motivation methods of MH's new generation staffs,but also to provide reference for other companies who have been suffering the same problems.
