A transmission line insulator is a discoid insulator hanging on the high-voltage wire connection tower,it can enhance the insulation quality of live parts,and it can also support and locate the live parts.PRTV coating is a permanent pollution flashover free composite material that has external insolation,and also an important material that can prevent insulator pollution flashover at this stage.For now,the electric power system in our country mainly uses telescopic equipment to detect the quality of PRTV coating on transmission line insulator;the international detection methods are confined to some distractive method such as acupuncture method and indentation method.By study on quality detection method for transmission line insulator PRTV,this paper put forward a quality dictation method applicable for PRTV(percussive sound measurement method,image processing method and"pressure-time" detection method),according to various methods,it have designed different testing device structures and choose different hardware and software.The feasibility of each method was verified by a large number of experiments,the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the quality of PRTV coating can be realized simultaneously with the realization of nondestructive testing,the main research results are as follows:(1)This report had an in-depth study on characteristics,quality defects and me chanism of action of the PRTV coating,by studying the coating quality detection m ethods and the live line insulator PRTV quality live detection technology at home a nd abroad,it apprehended the advantages and disadvantages of these technologies,a nd a suitable nondestructive testing method was obtained:percussive sound measure ment method,image processing method and "pressure-time" detection method.(2)According to the characteristics of the research methods,different detection devices are designed,and the corresponding application software is selected to analy ze the test data.Through a large number of live line insulator PRTV quality detecti on experiments to obtain the relationship between the measured feature quantity and the thickness of PRTV coating,the detection system of each method can be compl ete without damaging the PRTV coating of the insulator,and effectively avoid the i nstability of the power equipment due to the damage of the PRTV coating.(3)it designed live line insulator PRTV quality live detection auxiliary system,including the design of 5-DOF special-purpose manipulator and the insulator PRTV quality control system,making sure that the detection system can be effectively appl ied to the transmission line under field condition,at the same time,it also realized power monitoring,system emergency stop,interlocking alarm and other functions to ensure a safe and stable operation of the entire detection system.(4)Insulation protection measures are taken for the PRTV quality live detection system of the transmission line insulator by inquiring the related standards and the performance of the insulation material.The main measures include:to determine th e safety distance according to the different voltage levels;to select high-voltage insu lation material to manufacture detection device;to use shielded cables and so on.
