Design Research On Game Space Within Children's Park

An unforgettable childhood is the best memory of each person,and the childhood growth environment has an important influence on a person's life.China is a country with a large population,which the number of children also occupies a considerable proportion.However,with the acceleration of urbanization,available places for children's outdoor activities are becoming less and less,and inversely,they are being replaced by a variety of indoor recreational spaces.Such a change has led children to depart from the natural environment gradually.They become keen on indoor activities,used to being in various artificial environment,which have caused many children's physical and psychological problems.Therefore,the construction of fully functional children game spaces,the utilization of novel landscape ideas and a good game atmosphere to attract children to participate in outdoor game activities,can better solve all kinds of psychological problems of children caused by the development of social urbanization.Compared with adults,children are less mature in their minds,and their physiology and psychology are much more special.In serving for children,the construction of the game venues of the children's park is bound to provide an excellent game environment,and at the same time,what's more important,it should make sure to meet children's psychological development characteristics,develop children's overall abilities,make children's synchronous development of physical and mental,make them obtain social capacity.Therefore,in the design and planning of the game site of the children's park it is of great significance to regard promoting children's mental development as the starting point,Based on the basic theory of children's park,game spaces and children's psychological and behavioral development characteristics,this thesis has a discussion on the particularity and characteristics of children's park and game spaces.In addition,by the division of children' s age,this thesis summarizes children's psychological and behavioral characteristics at all age periods so as to draw a conclusion on stepchildren basic characteristics and tendencies in playing games and provide a theoretical basis for the game space design for children's park.Then,through the detailed analysis of the elements of the game space,the type of space and the application of the landscape elements in the children's park it embodies the specific expression of the game space design of the children's park from the macro level to the micro level.Then,according to the analysis of the former chapter,the thesis summarizes the universal principles and the corresponding countermeasures of the game space design in the children 's park which is beneficial to children' s development.At the end of the thesis takingchildren's park in Changsha Meixihu as an example,this thesis has a deep analysis on the spatial planning of the game space,the partitioning design of the game space and the special design of the venues,including the road system,the green system,the water system,the identification system and the recreational facilities,aiming to make a further demonstration on the theoretical research results as well as the guide practice.This thesis gives a good summary of the subject in the conclusion part,and supposes that the design of the game space in the children's park should take children's needs in all aspects into account.And based on the diversity and variability of children's game psychology and behavioral patterns,the thesis proposes the outdoor game space types with the characteristics such as interaction,flexibility,topicality and so on,which can effectively promote children's physical and mental healthy development.Having an emphasis on the interesting and education of the design of children's outdoor game space in the future is still the aim that designers will pursue and explore.
