Embedded systems have a very wide range of applications,two important objectives in the design of embedded systems are low power and high performance.With the increase in demand,the performance of embedded systems has been a rapid increase and the power consumption is also rising,but the battery capacity development has not keep up with the increase in power consumption.Therefore,the contradiction between the high performance and the limited battery capacity has become increasingly prominent.An effective way to solve this contradiction is the low power design of embedded system.As the core equipment in the ETC electronic toll collection system,the OBU unit is a battery-embedded device,and its low-power performance is particularly important.Therefore,this thesis from the perspective of power consumption OBU conducted in-depth study,and finished its low-power design.First of all,this thesis analyzes the existing low-power technology,from the aspects of hardware,software,and the working mode of the embedded system elaborated the embedded power optimization method.Then,this thesis focuses on the design of OBU,and apply the power optimization technology into it.On the hardware level,from the chip selection to the circuit to achieve,always around the low-power design,comparing the merits of different programs to the principle of minimum power consumption to select the best option.At the same time,combined with the actual needs of the design of the OBU power module,put forward the wireless charging technology can be applied to the OBU point of view.On the software level,around the OBU transaction process,this thesis uses the concept of dynamic power management,making OBU working faster.In the end of the thesis,the OBU prototype's test and analysis is given,the main test of the OBU is the power consumption test and the power systems,then analysis the test data.The test results show that the power consumption and power supply of the OBU can provide the stable electric energy for the OBU continuously and fully meet and surpass the national standard.
