Dispatching automation can be achieved on the grid operation monitoring and scheduling, so that dispatchers can run the entire state power grid real-time monitoring and understanding on the basis of effective command grid safe and stable operation. Therefore, the power grid dispatching automation is very important and critical part. Therefore dispatching automation is the core of the entire power grid where it relates to the power grid security and economy. With the development of high-end computer and network communication technology, automated dispatching system moving towards more integration, standardization, and network direction in development, so the research on the new dispatch automation system it is very concerned about the current direction of research.With the increase in the number of substations, the traditional leased line communication can not meet the requirements of network development for the proposed substation automation system. On the basis of the current power automation technology, computer network technology and optical fiber communication technology development on the use of network-based data communication mode between a lot of electricity 104 dispatch center and substation. IEC60870-5-104 transmission protocol is based on IEC101 Statute on the Internet using a dedicated network communications protocol standard for scheduling, it replaces the traditional serial communication mechanism. This paper studies the digital coexist with Fibre Channel dispatching automation platform. The dispatch automation platform compared to traditional platforms have a more stable and reliable data communication effect, but also to adapt to a variety of operating conditions and methods. Finally, some examples are described, for instance dispatches application automation platform were studied by this research has made important achievements.
