Salient pole synchronous motor that is simple operation,convenient maintenance,high efficiency and high power factor is developing at a high speed.already has been widely used by related fields in the industrial production.Currently.the problems of ventilation and cooling in the study of the motor is a problem to be solved,the reliability and service life of the motor are effect by the ventilation cooling.Overheating and great hidden dangers to safe operation of the motor would be caused because of bad ventilation cooling,by prevent excessive ventilation cooling the efficiency of the motor will be affected.The object of this study is 27MW salient pole synchronous motor,and the motor internal flow field and the stator temperature field are studied.Firstly,Accurate three-dimensional physical model is established for factory drawing,with application of Fluent software for the numerical calculation of control equation of three dimensional turbulent flow,and corresponding solving domain boundary conditions are given,the corresponding air flow,velocity and static pressure distribution characteristics are got,the stator ventilation groove cooling air volume along the circumferential and axial distribution is analyzed.The results show that:in the same stator axial location,along the circumferential into the stator slots cooling air flow rate is uneven,and air volume distribution is influenced on the pole shoe of rotor and magnetic pole supporting block geometry shape and position,the direction of rotation of the rotor,etc.Second,based on flow lield,the three-dimensional flow and heat transfer coupling field of the further model is calculated,then the temperature field of the motor stator and reasonable structure that has not been overheating are obtained.The motor stator maximum temperature of 106?,the position is located in the core location near the end of the fourth row,the highest temperature of 98.5? of adjacent insulation layer of,so not overheating,the safe operation of the motor can be reasonable.Finally,the influence of the motor stator flow field and the temperature field with the change of base ring plate vent air outlet area as well as the location,size,motor support block position are studied.The results show that the vent size is increased,therefore the change of the flow field of flow rate,air volume distribution is bigger,and the rise of temperature of the stator solid is smaller,and the highest temperature position is from near the end row 4 core to the center core area of the plane of symmetry.The more reasonable flow field and temperature field distribution and more safe operation of motor can be made by the change of the vent size.For stator flow field,temperature field is,there is a greater influence on the fluid field and temperature field where the export location is,but the export area is smaller,and the highest temperature is reduced from 106? to 97.9?.because variable support block position is change,more cold air flow into core back of stator,at meanwhile the highest temperature that is increased from 106? to 110 ? of the position to near the end row 6 core is changed.
