With step by step of low-altitude airspace opening,the general aviation of China will enter a rapid development period,then the traffic in low-altitude airspace will have a massive growth.However,our infrastructure used for low-altitude airspace is not complete.Now it's a lack of a complete communication system to support low-altitude airspace communication,surveillance,navigation and collision avoidance.Since LTE is ripe mobile broadband access technology in mobile communication area,which can provide strong anti-interference,high bandwidth and multi-service broadband wireless communication,we consider LTE broadband data link carrying low-altitude air-ground communication in Aeronautical Telecommunication Network.Due to LTE broadband data link is not specifically designed for low-altitude aviation scene,it brings a series of problems when introduced into Aeronautical Telecommunication Network,especially mobility management problems which aircrafts'frequent,high-speed(compared with the common mobile device)and wide range mobility brings.In response to these problems,in this paper first by analyzing the mobility management technology of LTE broadband data link and Aeronautical Telecommunication Network,we summarize the existing problems in management techniques in low-altitude airspace scenario.Based on the specific problems,we design mobility management method for Aeronautical Telecommunication Network under LTE broadband data link environment,and describe its steps in detail.Among the mobility management method,handover method and takeover method for cross-areas of ATC solve problems which faced up with aircrafts in low-altitude flight,such as access control,air to ground roaming communication,the mismatch of LTE network area and ATC area,the autonomy of ATC areas and etc.And then,in order to evaluate the mobility management approach designed for Aeronautical Telecommunication Network under LTE broadband data link environment,we use the NS2 software to build the simulating model,including function entitys and the detail steps involved in the mobility management method.By designing the typical scenario in low-altitude airspace,we can analyze,evaluate the simulation results and judge its performance,thus we can provide technical support for the application of LTE technology to low-altitude airspace communication environment.Finally,it figures out the direction of future research by summarizing the work in this paper.
