The cylindrical cam lateral transmission mechanism is a new type of deceleration mechanism,which has greater bearing capacity compared than the arc cam,and it has the characteristics of high speed and precision.This paper studies the elastohydrodynamic lubrication analysis of the cylindrical cam lateral transmission mechanism,providing a certain theory for the structural optimization,manufacturing installation and wear reduction of the mechanism,improving the durability and reliability of the use of the mechanism,and advancing the application of the elastohydrodynamic lubrication to the lateral cam mechanism of the cylindrical cam,these have important practical significance for avoiding premature failure of the transmission member,improving the transmission efficiency and prolonging the fatigue life.The main research content is as follows:First,by analyzing the movement characteristics of the cylindrical cam lateral transmission mechanism,the mechanism is simplified to solve the speed of the cylindrical cam and roller.Based on this,the lubrication numerical model of the mechanism was established,and the numerical model equations were non-dimensionalized.Then the three-point difference method was used to discretize the processing to facilitate the next calculation.Second,using the difference method to correct the integral value on the grid,then use MATLAB software to write the required multi-grid algorithm and verify the correctness of the algorithm.The established model was imported into ANSYS software,and the finite element analysis was performed on the cylindrical cam lateral transmission mechanism to solve the oil film pressure.Finally,combined with the finite element analysis and multi-grid algorithm to solve the established numerical model,the results were analyzed.Third,verify the correctness of the numerical model and analyze the influence of some basic parameters of the mechanism on the lubrication characteristics.Using the empirical equations to derive the minimum oil film formula for the linear contact of cylindrical cam lateral transmission mechanism under steady state conditions.The minimum oil film thickness under steady state conditions is calculated by this formula.The numerical model is compared with the results to verify the correctness of the numerical model.Using the single variable principle,the influence of different rotation speeds,different transmission ratios,and different materials on the lubrication characteristics of the mechanism was analyzed.
