With the rapid development of new energy vehicles and lightweight technology,the production and sales of small pure electric vehicles have gradually increased.As small side space of small pure electric vehicle and high-energy high-voltage power battery pack,when side impact of small pure electric vehicle occurs,the crashworthiness and electrical safety are facing a huge challenge.Therefore,it is of great significance to research the side impact safety of a small pure electric vehicle.The finite element models of a pure electric vehicle and MDB are established.The true stress-strain curve of ABS material is obtained by tensile test.Based on Johnson-Cook model,Aluminum Alloy body material constitutive model is established.By comparing the total weight and the axle load of the simulation vehicle and the test vehicle,a complete finite element model of the vehicle is established.According to the requirements of Appendix C of GB 20071-2006,the established MDB finite element model meets the requirements of size,quality and stiffness of the regulation and can be applied to the simulation of side impact.The side impact simulation analysis of small pure electric vehicle is carried out based on LS-DYNA.Through the analysis of the collision energy curve,the right acceleration curve of B-Pillar bottom and the post-crash deformation comparison of test and simulation,the accuracy and reliability of the model are verified.Through the vehicle and MDB speed changes and different time simulation results,the movement state and deformation of vehicle and MDB in the process of side impact are analyzed.The transmission path of impact force is analyzed by the stress contour of vehicle body at different time.By analyzing the intrusion of the left door,the intrusion displacement and intrusion velocity of the head,chest,abdomen and pelvis corresponding to the B-pillar,the safety of the vehicle side structure is studied.By analyzing the stress contour of the battery box and the transmission bracket and the distance change of the power high voltage line,the electrical safety of the vehicle in side impact is studied.
