The fatigue durability of the cab is the key research,in the automobile body design.The fatigue durability of the cab is analyzed through computer simulation which is based on virtual prototyping technology and experiment.The fatigue failure areas which contain structure parts and solder joint of the cab are optimized,through analyzing the key factors of fatigue life and structural optimization.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The acceleration signals of the cab which connects the suspension upper end and the frame which connects the suspension lower end are obtained through the road load spectrum acquisition test.The fatigue load spectrum of the cab is obtained by using the nCode software.(2)The multi-body dynamics model of the cab is established by ADAMS software.The fatigue load spectrum is obtained through the virtual iteration and load decomposition of the collected signals by the FEMTAT-Lab software.(3)The trim-body finite element modal is established by the HyperWorks software.And the simulation results about the fatigue life of the cab finite element model which is calculated by nCode software are compared with the experimental results.(4)The reason of the fatigue crack of the structure and the solder joint is analyzed,according to the fatigue failure position obtained from the test.The optimization scheme is proposed and verified the feasibility of the optimization scheme.The research method of this paper provides a more accurate analysis method for the fatigue life of truck cab in the future.
