The problem of city water logging,which has in recent years become the “common disease” in most cities in China,has aroused great concern of the society.The drawbacks of traditional engineering water logging prevention methods has become increasingly insufficient to fullfill the duty,while the storm water management concept of natural ecology in sponge cities has become a new direction to guide urban planning and construction.Starting from open space of city with central urban area of Qinhuangdao as the object of research,this paper has made an analysis on the present situation of open space and the problems in water logging.Then,under the guidance of sponge thinking,it puts forward the functional optimization strategy of water logging prevention.First,the paper makes a detailed analysis on the climatic characteristics and rainfall characteristics of Qinhuangdao.Starting from urban waterlogged spots and by combining the spatial distribution characteristics of flood points,it explores the association between open space and the city water logging,extracts and identify the risk factors of water logging in Qinhuangdao.On the basis of the elements above,by summarizing the reasons of city water logging,it seeks ideas and methods to alleviate the problem of city water logging.Second,the main chapters of the paper carry out a research on urban open space mainly from two parts: natural open space and artificial open space.By data collection and field research,it analyses the existing problems in open space from perspective of water logging risk factors.Aiming at the existing problems,the paper proposes the optimization strategy of water logging prevention function for both natural and artificial open space.On the basis of the above research,the Qilihai area is cited as example for optimal design,which bears out the feasibility and practicability of the optimization strategy of water logging prevention function and provides reference for other cities in water logging alleviation.
