With the development of society and living standards improvement, more and more women possess cars. However,it is often reported that careless women caused car accidents due to low level driving operating mistakes, and women are nearly viewed as the synonym of “road killer”.In reality, normally the female drivers that caused accidents are those with low driving age that gain their driving license not long ago.Partly because they are not very familiar with road conditions and car models, partly because they lack the capability to predict and handle dangerous emergencies, thus are more vulnerable to make silly mistakes.Besides traffic planning and designing in traffic field, traffic safety draws more and more attentions from plenty of researchers. Therefore,it is critical to study female junior-driving decision-making behavior in emergency to objectively view and improve female driver's driving behaviors and improve road traffic safety. In the meantime,it provides new think pattern and methods for studying and analyzing female junior-driving decision-making behavior in emergency. The prospect theory, simulation experiment and contrast analysis methods are used to analyze the impact of female junior-driving decision-making behavior on basis of female driver's behavior features analysis, respectively designs simulation experiments for the following four typical emergencies: vehicle in front applying a sharp brake;pedestrian crossing the road suddenly;vehicle attempting to make lane change forcibly to overtake other vehicles;vehicle approaching from opposite direction making sudden left turn at a non-signal intersection, and proceed with statistical analysis for experiment data, mainly focusing on the impact of heart rate change, response time to female junior-driving decision-making behavior, analyzing the interactive relations of heart rate change, response time and regulations violations;combining with prospect theory, formulate value function and weighting functions to analyze the impact of different reference point on female junior-driving decision-making behavior.Last but not least, the paper offers improvement suggestions. The study shows that:(1)The change of heart rate of female junior-driving drivers are generally higher than skilled female drivers and male drivers, whichindicates female drivers tend to be nervous in emergency and be panic when making driving decision. The response time of female junior-driving drivers is longer than that of the skilled female drivers and male drivers indicating that female junior-driving drivers are inferior conditions in judgment and flexibility, they are behind in making driving decisions than the latter. The response time in emergency of female junior-driving drivers is more sensitive to their heart rate changes.(2)Female junior-driving drivers' average rule violations are less than male drivers and but more than skilled female drivers. This to some extent reflects that female junior-driving drivers are more cautious compared to male drivers, but still have room for improvement compared to skilled female drivers. With heart rage change increased, female junior-driving drivers require more response time and show an increasing trend of average rule violation in emergency. This indicates that the change of heart rate and increase of response time will cause rule violations, the corresponding accidents and more serious damage in emergency.(3)Under emergencies, the change in reference point will have a certain impact to junior-driving female driver's behavior decision-making.Change in reference point can improve junior-driving female driver's driving decision-making and improve their driving safety. The change of reference point will have a certain impact on female junior-driving decision-making behavior in emergency.Change of reference point can improve female junior-driving decision-making behavior and be helpful to enhance traffic safety.
