The vertical hot ring rolling(VHRR)process is the advanced production technology for small and medium sized rings,and the main equipment is VHRR mill.This production technology has the advantages of energy saving,material saving,high productivity,low production cost,wide product range,etc,so widely being used in many fields such as engineering machinery automobile,petroleum pipeline,aerospace and so on.However,the ring rolling production mechanization and low degree of automation have not improved remarkably.The VHRR process as the object of study in this thesis,the HRM160 NC VHRR mill is overall designed,the fixed position method and scope of the guide roll is studied,the control system is designed,and the scheme of the loading & unloading auxiliaries are developed,and the key technology of hot rolling ring automatic production line is solved.The main work and results are as follows:(1)The HRM160 NC VHRR mill is overall designed and studied.As for the working condition of HRM160 NC VHRR mill,mechanical parameter calculation is conducted,and the main feed system with the servo motor power source is designed.The design and research on key mechanisms have conducted,and the strength of key parts and components has been checked.The 3D CAD model of HRM160 NC VHRR mill has been set up through a bottom-up approach in UG software.(2)For the position of the fixed guide,Combining with the working principle of vertical hot ring rolling mill,using theoretical analysis and finite element modeling,a statistic analysis is made on the roundness error of different position of the guide roller and a method of determining the guide roller's position is put forward by analyzing the limit range of the guide roller's position.Finally,the VHRR experiments are conducted and test it.(3)For the CNC VHRR mill,combined with VHRR process and characteristics,the design and development of the control system is carried out,including the design of hardware system,software system and PC monitoring system.(4)Based on the HRM160 NC VHRR mill,the key technology of VHRR automatic production line is designed and studied,mainly including the design of loading & unloading auxiliaries and VHRR automatic production line,whose 3D CAD model is established in UG software and virtual prototype is established in ADAMS software,and then the motion of virtual prototype is simulated and analyzed.Based on the design above,a set of physical prototype equipment of VHRR automatic production line was developed successfully,and the VHRR experiments are conducted.The results of study above greatly improve the automation level of small and medium sized rings production.
