Research On Vehicle Parking Brake Adjustable Quality Improvement

The research topic of this article is derived from a school-enterprise cooperation project “Research on Vehicle Parking Brake Automatic Tunning System”.If new car parking brake gets not enough set-up quality that would cause high wheel block resistance and the braking torque dragging,so here carry out the study of this phenomenon.As an important safeguard parts for vehicle normal parking and parking on slope,the automobile parking brake system has been focused by the domestic and foreign research staffs.But the majority studies were focused on the structure of the brake or the brake performance.The studies on the Brake block resistance also tended to be concentrated in the resistance force test of the wheel block.So far,there are not much foreign and domestic researches on the parking brake,and rare research on the parking brake set-up progress or set-up quality.This article is based on the target vehicle model,for the questions above,the researches are as follow:(1)With the target vehicle model,analysed working progress of a parking brake by studying its structure,operation principle,brake gap self-tuning principles in detail.And this established the research foundation of the parking brake set-up technology.(2)Analyze the evaluation indicators of the parking brake set-up quality from two aspects: the good realization of parking features and the vehicle brake resistance.based on the detailed description of parking brake institutions in the previous line,research the affect factors of the parking brake set-up quality from the efficiency of parking brake system,brake structures,such as the thickness of the friction disks and so on.(3)In order to avoid the impact of man-made factors on the set-up quality,based on LabVIEW software platform,designed a manual parking brake automatic tunning system,mainly consist of the parking brake lever control unit,Parking cord pre-tension adjusting nut automatic adjustment,parking brake lever locking pawl release.And described the compositions,control policy,the structural design,system software of the automatic tunning system in detail.This study provides some reference for the set-up quality control of parking brake.And the first time design on the manual parking brake mechanism automatic resetting system of the target vehicle,which provides a useful example for the improvements of subsequent models' parking brake set-up process and the research of automate process.
