The Research On The Protection And Design Of Zhuxi Village In Zhejiang Province From The Perspective Of Human Geography

Chinese traditional villages play an important role in Chinese traditional culture.They are the basis also the soul of Chinese traditional farming civilization,containing rich historical and cultural meanings.However in recent years,Chinese traditional villages are being destroyed severely and the ecological structure of traditional villages is under destruction.Various villages are losing their own characteristics,which makes them not unique any more.Therefore,it is urgent to find effective ways to protect the primitive status of Chinese traditional villages and advance their development.In this paper,on the basis of "human geography",I try to excavate the essential meaning of this concept by combing various kinds of theories.Meanwhile,by learning from the valuable experience of research in this subject at home and abroad,I summarize the effective means and methods to protect existing traditional villages in China.Choosing Zhuxi village in Zhejiang Province as my specific subject of research,I attempt to bring various strategies of how make this villages well maintained and safe from destruction.Firstly,I make a detailed investigation about the current situation of traditional villages,their changing tendency and other specific studies of this subject,summing up rich experience both from the macroscopic and the microcosmic perspective,and adapt the results of the investigation to the analysis and the design of Zhuxi village.Secondly,I dig and analyze the theories of“human geography”and reach the conclusion that “human geography” mainly includes three aspects: Human Geography and Chinese Fengshui,Residential Space and Residential Behavior.By putting this conclusion into the researching process of Zhuxi village,I bring a feasibility study of protection and renovation of Zhuxi village.Finally,a practical scheme for the protection and design for Zhuxi village in Zhejiang province is proposed.According to the analysis of the current situation of material and non-material resources of Zhuxi village,the four major contradictions that exist at present are clearly drawn.Compared to its developing planning,I put forward a comprehensive plan of how to protect and design the ecological environment,architecture,landscaping,streets and lanes of Zhuxi village,which can ultimately further the development of the village itself.
