Research And Practice On The Combination Of Traditional Lotus Pattern And Modern Design

Chinese traditional patterns provide rich resources and materials for modern design.It is of far-reaching significance for the future development of design art to fully exploit and make use of traditional patterns.The development and utilization of traditional patterns has become a breakthrough direction for contemporary designers to study Chinese traditional art and culture.Among the numerous traditional patterns in China,the Lotus decorative pattern is a popular decorative element with its unique aesthetic features and modeling implications.The Traditional Lotus pattern not only has a long history,but also has a deep foundation.The rich shape changes with the development of the Times.The Lotus pattern has a long history in China,which has experienced different periods such as Wei,Jin,northern and southern dynasties,Sui,Tang,Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties.The rules of decoration change not only combined with the local characteristics of China,but also absorbed foreign decorative elements in the long years,and retained some fixed meanings,becoming one of today's far-reaching traditional patterns.This paper first analyzes the meaning of the traditional Lotus design,from the secular and moral aspects summed up the Lotus implication of the emergence and development process.Secondly,this paper analyzes the aesthetic characteristics of Lotus pattern in the four important development stages of Wei,Jin,southern and northern dynasties,Sui,Tang,Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties,and studies the changes of Lotus pattern on murals,sculptures and utensils in different historical periods.In modern design,Lotus pattern is widely used in various design fields because of its auspicious implication in folk culture.Therefore,on the basis of the theory of the appearance and connotation evolution of the traditional Lotus design,this paper inherits the essence of the traditional Lotus design and seeks for the Lotus elements suitable for modern design.Recreating the individual patterns of the Lotus Flower Pattern,creating the lotus flower combination pattern combining traditional and modern,collecting other patterns closely related to the Lotus flower in the traditional decoration,and combining them as auxiliary patterns and the Lotus Flower Decoration At the same time,draw lessons from the traditional patterns and modern design of color performance,to create a theme of the Lotus derivative design products.The same design ideas used in the product creative packaging design,so as to achieve the continuation of Lotus design products.Through the research and practice of the fusion of the traditional Lotus pattern and modern design,the new expression form of the Lotus pattern is created,which aims to inherit the traditional culture and keep pace with the times,so as to meet the development needs of modern design.
