Study On Capacity And Travel Time Of Urban Road Sections Considering The Impacts Of Traffic Management Measures

With the accelerated urbanization and motorization process in China,the number of motor vehicles is increasing rapidly,and urban traffic congestion and safety issues has been raised for decades.To deal with these problems,lots of traffic management measures,strategies and regulations have been introduced in recent years.Whether the specific traffic management measures can solve the practical problems,and whether the road capacity and traffic speed are influenced positively,are the key points of traffic planners and decision-makers concerned.Under the background of "city brain" and "big data",computer language has become an important tool to express and analyze traffic data and settle traffic issues.It is necessary and essential to develop the traffic simulation software adapted to the national conditions.According to the Four-step method,traffic planning is based on a comprehensive,thorough and in-depth study of road link capacity and travel time,with the variety of domestic traffic and the complex traffic management measures.Therefore,based on the traffic simulation platform of "TranStar(Urban Transportation Edition)",the corresponding traffic geometry information database and traffic management information database will be established.And the model of urban road link capacity and travel time will be built and optimized.Finally,the development of the module will be realized through computer language programming,and the instructions of traffic impedance analysis module will also be given.It is worth noting that,to distinguish various management measures specifically against vehicle types,this paper will calculate the link capacity and travel time in different modes and types of vehicle,and the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the influence mechanism of various traffic management measures will be conducted.Meanwhile,traffic investigation and simulation will be done to support the model parameters,making the final research results more scientific,rigorous and convincing.
