Along with the rapid development of the global economy and the continuous acceleration of the urbanization process,various climatic environmental problems have been emerging when people enjoy a lot of convenience brought by the process of high-speed urbanization.These problems have become serious ones faced by the sustainable development of cities.As an important part of urban space,public space has a major impact on the micro-climatic environment of cities.In particular,under the hot and humid climatic conditions,the strength and weakness of its environmental comfort is the most direct standard for appraising the quality of urban space.How to optimize the layout of urban public space and improve the comfort of urban micro-climate has become a key problem that needs to be noted and solved in the process of urbanization.With the public space in hot and humid regions as its research object,this paper discusses the relationship between the layout model of urban public space and thermal comfort at different layers from the perspective of improving thermal comfort,and proposes the comfort-based layout model of public space adaptable to climate in connection with the technology of computer performance optimization.This paper includes three parts:Part 1: Presenting the problem(Chapter 1): first,analyze the severe situation of urban climatic environment,and propose that the research purpose is to find the ideal layout model of outdoor public space that meets the requirements of thermal comfort in connection with the rise of people's demand for environmental quality;then,sort out and sum up the domestic and overseas relevant research achievements from such two aspects as the research on the comfort of public space and the application of techniques,providing a direct research idea and reference basis for the following parts.Part 2: Analyzing the problem(Chapter 2 and Chapter 3): Chapter 2 classifies and interprets the relevant concepts of climate and thermal comfort,and summarizes the theories related to thermal comfort and their influencing factors,thus laying a theoretical basis for follow-up research;Chapter 3 proposes that the core of the research of this paper is breaching the restriction of the original simulation technique and rebuilding the design process,and proposes that we should,in the initial period of design,carry out simulation and optimization against environmental performance with the help of powerful computer technology,organically integrate design and performance simulation,determine the three experimental processes of modeling,analysis and optimization,and make detailed introduction in connection with the specifically-selected simulative tool.Part 3: Solving the problem(Chapter 4 and Chapter 5),carrying out optimizing experiments to the thermal comfort of public space from such two perspectives as overall layout and spatial form.Chapter 4 first conducts qualitative analysis at the overall layout,so as to get to know the pertinence between the thermal comfort of public space and various climatic factors,discover the problem therein and find the law,thus laying a foundation for the quantitative analysis of spatial form.Chapter 5 conducts quantitative study against the layer of spatial form,so as to further explore the control parameter of spatial form,e.g.the relationship between height-width ratio(H/W),sky view factor(SVF)and thermal comfort,and presents a feasible strategy of public space design and optimization against the hot and humid climate.Based on the layout form of urban public space,the paper builds a real-time interactive relationship between environmental performance and design with thermal comfort simulation as a breakthrough;then explores an ideal layout model of building and public space under given conditions through genetic optimization,and builds a systematic and complete research framework and idea,and provides a strategy of public space design and optimization based on the thermal comfort demand of human body,which can provide a methodological strategy and technical path for relevant planning and design programs.
