Miniature circuit breaker is a terminal distribution low-voltage electrical apparatus which is mainly used for overload and short-circuit protection.It is used in large quantities and wide area.Its work affects the security of the running of the whole system directly.Temperature rise is an important technical parameter of it.If the temperature rise is too high,the insulation strength and mechanical strength of the material will be reduced,and then it will shorten the service life of miniature circuit breaker.In recent years,the trend of miniaturization of circuit breaker makes the temperature rising problem become the most difficult problem in the design process.Therefore,the research on temperature field of miniature circuit breaker is particularly important.In this paper,the type of DZ47-63 C1 miniature circuit breaker was used as the research object.The finite element software was used to simulate the whole steady-state temperature field and the transient temperature field of the contact system.Firstly,the physical model of miniature circuit breaker was established by Pro/E software,and then it was imported into the ANSYS software;Secondly,the infliction of the load and boundary conditions were determined by the calculation of the heat source and the heat dissipation,and then the thermal-electric coupling simulation was carried out for the whole steady-state temperature field of the miniature circuit breaker,and the influence of ambient temperature on the whole steady-state temperature field was analyzed;Thirdly,the heat flux flowing into the contact in the process of overload and short-circuit was calculated,and the transient temperature field of the contact system was simulated in the case of considering the phase transition,and then analyzed the influence of current level on the transient temperature field;Finally,the design of the temperature measurement experiment was carried out.Through the comparison of the experimental data and the simulation data,the accuracy that using ANSYS software to simulate and calculate the temperature field of miniature circuit breaker was verified.
