The natural gas industry has achieved unprecedented prosperity.However,with more and more city gases coming into network and the increase of environmental protection consciousness of people,a series of problems about gas interchangeability are brought to our attention.Therefore,on the basis of gas interchangeability theories at home and abroad,a case study of gas and burners in Beijing is conducted to study the applicability of foreign gas interchangeability theories in China.The goal is to summarize an impeccable method applying to our country city gas interchangeability prediction.The main work and study results include:1.A design of gas interchangeability experimental system.On the basis of characteristic of domestic experimental systems,as for atmospheric gas burner,integrated gas interchangeability and blending test system has been designed for laboratory research,which includes dynamic gas-mixing system and combustion characteristics of gas appliances testing system.The devices have the advantages of small and accurate multi-gas blending,fast respond speed,instant blending and use,digital display instrument,continuous gas flowing.Besides,the system has huge advantages in determining the flexible range of gas appliances to different gases.Many problems have been solved perfectly by this system,such as large space occupation,the unevenness of gas mixture,long time lag,wasting gas.2.The experimental study of city gas flexibility domain.City gas flexibility domain has good intuition and accuracy at city gas interchangeability prediction,so it is widely used in the world.Taking gas and burners in Beijing for instance,city gas flexibility domain in Beijing has been conducted by experiments with Delbourg method,providing the reference for introducing or mixing gas source.3.Experimental study of gas interchangeability between LNG and pipeline gas.If LNG comes into city gas network directly,a series of gas interchangeability problems will arise,especially the excessive CO emissions.Taking gas and burners in Beijing for instance,the performances of all sampled gas appliances under 6 different gases are experimental tested to find out the interchangeable blending ratio,so that the high costs can be saved.4.Applicability of A.G.A and Weaver indices for natural gas interchangeability in China.The applicability of A.G.A and Weaver indices in our country has been queried.Therefore,a case study of gas source and typical gas appliances in Beijing?Shanghai?Guangdong areas has been conducted through lots of experiments to modify index limit of A.G.A and Weaver index method.
