The research and development work for large ships in our country has been nonstop for economic development and national defense security needs.Many years ago,our country had already demonstrated the ability of ship shafting installation operation on our own,which is the key process of ship construction.The quality of shafting installation to a large extent affects the navigation performance,as it may aggravate the shafting parts consumption and increase the use of cost,or cause shaft damage and disturb regular shipping.At present,our country mainly adopts the method of reasonable shafting alignment to determine the reasonable position of bearings,thus curving the shafting installation by the rule and making each bearing load distribution reasonable.While in reality,shafting installation deviation always exits.Field workers take the bearing load as the criteria of installation eligibility,continuously measure and adjust the bearing load to meet the requirements of the main engine plants,which is time-consuming and troublesome.This paper takes some shafting installation of EasternShanghai Zhonghua Shipyard as the calculation case,and optimizes the current common domestic shafting installation process parameters aiming at simplifying the load adjustment operation and ensuring that the bearing temperature meets the requirement of File JT4165,so as to improve the efficiency and quality of shafting installation.The study of the paper reads as follows:(1)Taking the current common shafting installation process as the research object,it analyzes the process and content of the operation,and designs the process parameters that aims to improve the installation efficiency.(2)Taking some ship shafting of EasternShanghai Zhonghua Shipyard as the case while building its finite element model with structural static mechanics analysis,it calculates the extreme stress combination of shaft system in accordance with the relevant axis parameters from the main engine plants,and obtains each bearing radial displacement range that meets the bearing load requirements.(3)It builds the mathematical model of heat balance of the middle bearing,and calculates the ship’s largest middle bearing load when its highest working temperature meets the requirements of the file.(4)With the new extreme stress combination after maximum load of middle bearing changes,it calculates each bearing radial displacement range under the new combined forces,and uses the result to reinspect process parameters which meet the load demand,then ends up with proper process parameters that meet the requirement of load and temperature at the same time.(5)Exemplified by some ship of Guangzhou Whampoa Wenchong shipyard,it summarizes the function of its analysis and optimization method to common ship shafting installation process of the current domestic shipyard.
