In the current mode of urban traffic signal control,there is only one stop line in the intersection to control the intersection traffic signal.Most research focuses on traffic signal control optimization based on traffic information prediction and regional adaptive traffic signal control optimization.To break the traditional intersection design method,this paper puts forward a method to control the formation traffic signal based on the double-stop line.By discussing the theoretical basis of the implementation of the method,the principle of double-stop line setting and the control strategy of double-stop line traffic signal,this paper presents a new theoretical and practical basis for the design of the intersection.Based on the analysis of the traditional traffic signal control mode,this paper studies the control methods of the formation traffic signals at home and abroad.The work principle,control parameters and location selection of the stop line are studied,the design principle of phase sequence and timing is analyzed with the maximum traffic flow as the objective function.Combined with simulation software,the results of this method are verified by comparing the simulation data before and after the actual operation of the intersection.The results show that the control method has the advantage of the traditional control method,which can improve the overall operation of the intersections.
