With the increase of the number of high-rise buildings and people's awareness of energy saving,making high-rise building water supply system more efficient and economical has become a major concern for designers of water supply system at this stage.The aim of this study is to optimize water supply system in high-rise building.Firstly,relevant literatures help to understand the characteristics and the current situation of high-rise building water supply systems.The factors affecting energy consumption and water supply system of high-rise building were analyzed in this study.Aiming at the high-rise building,the pipe diameters and water pumps in the high-rise building water supply system were optimized to reduce the head loss and save the cost.Secondly,the basic concept and algorithm flow of genetic algorithm were introduced in this paper.They were combined with the practical problems of pipe network optimization to establish an optimization model.In the model,the lowest cost was as the objective,the flow rate and head loss were the constraint conditions,and the pipe diameters in every floor were the optimization variables.Thirdly,combined with high-rise building water supply project example,three kinds of pipes with different materials were selected and the cost of the pipe networks was calculated with genetic algorithm under the premise of reducing head loss,respectively.Compared with the pipe networks before optimization,the investment cost saved 3.89% and the annual cost of water supply system reduced 3.83% in the network with the steel plastic composite pipe.The investment cost saved 4.35% and the annual cost decreased 4.48% in the network with PP-R tube as the branch pipe,the investment costs increased by 2.28% while the annual cost decreased 3.62% in the network with thin wall stainless steel pipe.Finally,according to the law of water use and the requirements of water pumps,an economical and proper water pump was selected in this water supply system.In this study,the network optimization and appropriate choices of water pumps reduced the annual cost and the energy consumption in the water supply system,met the design requirements.The optimization scheme has strong engineering practice significance.
