As a sustainable transportation mode,public bicycle system has several advantages,such as zero-energy consumption,no pollution,and flexible accessibility.In addition,public bicycle is suitable for short distance travel,which can effectively enrich residents' the travel modes as a supplement of the urban public transport system,so as to solve the last mile problem.In response to the promoting of green transportation raised by Chinese government,establishing a high quality public bicycle system is of great significance for the construction and development of cities.The public bicycle system is a typical kind of complex system,as its overall structure and operation rules show complexity.In recent years,the emerging complex network theory provides a new perspective to further the study of public bicycle.In this paper,the methods from complex network are used to analyze the topological structure of public bicycle.Through the use of Suzhou Industrial Park public bike sharing system as an example,some of the characteristics of the public bicycle network are analyzed,and the significance of complex network theory with respect to the study urban public bicycle network structure is explained.The main contribution of this paper is shown in the following aspects:First of all,this paper introduces some concepts,basic theory,complex network evolution model and the commonly used statistics that relate to the public bicycle network.Secondly,a public bicycle network model of Suzhou Industrial Park(SIP)is built based on complex network theory.The main characteristic parameters of the network are analyzed by MATLAB software,and the small-world characteristics of the network are verified.Lastly,two measurement methods that can be used to identify the important nodes of public bicycle network are proposed.The first measure is centrality measures,and the second index is the network efficiency,and the results of the two methods are compared.Finally,the spatial distribution of SIP's public bicycle system is analyzed by R.
