Parametricism was proposed by architectural theorist Patrik Schumacher,this theory responds to the development of economic globalization and computer parametric technology since the 1990s.This study traces Patrik Schumacher's theoretical construction through his theoretical seminar-The Theoretial Genealogy of Parametricism 1990-2016,at CAFA Graduate School of Architecture?Therefore,the following questions were raised through this study:What is the sociological theoretical basis of Parametricism theory?How to systematically construct a Parametricism theory and continuously optimize the Parametricism theory through practical feedback?How should we critically look at Parametricism theory?It is there questions that constitute the study framework of this paper:The chapter 2 of this paper discusses the Sociological Theoretical Basis of Parametricism from Niklas Luhmann.The chapter 3 of this paper discusses Patrik Schumacher's Anarcho-Capitalism stance relationship with Neo-liberalism economics;Analysis of the sociological projection of Parametricism Theory;Combing the systematic construction of parametricism by Patrik Schumacher's?THE AUTOPOIESIS OF ARCHITECTURE?.The chapter 4 of this paper traces the construction and update process of Parametricism Theory though Patrik Schumacher's AA DRL teaching case and ZHA design research case.Finally,the conclusions from the study of Patrik Schumacher's Parametricism Theory are as follows::Architecture should present new theories in the face of changing social and economic conditions.Architecture theory is related to historical context.However,when the emerging architectural theory is abused from difference historical context and socio-economic conditions,it will violate the original intention of this theory.Dialectical distinction between the construction phase of the theory of architecture and the differences in the promotion phase?the contradiction between the two divisions?the criticality of our attitude?and the conditions applied by the theory are the content and purpose of this study.
