The medium and large span structure is a relatively common and fast-developing form of building structure,and is often used in sports,viewing,transportation,and industrial plants.With the construction and development of large and medium-sized buildings,the demand for professional talents is increasing and the requirements are also more strict.In this context,the medium and large-span structure as an important professional foundation course for architecture,and its teaching is particularly important.In the spring of2019,Nanjing University will start the medium and large span structure design course firstly.Determine the subject and training content of course,how to let students master the basic structural knowledge,understand the logical relationship between building structure and formal space,and train students'architectural structure,architectural space and architectural design coordination ability in the teaching process.These issues require prior research.At present,there are some literatures on the teaching of the medium and large span structure architectural design,but most of them are self-explanation of their colleges and universities,lacking a large-scale research and overall summary of domestic universities.This paper studies courses in many uni'versities in China through teaching and research papers,project task books,and evaluation activities?The research includes teaching objectives?curriculum(topic setting,design requirements).?teaching forms(cycle,Organization,link).?teaching process.?teaching achievement requirements,etc.It hopes to provide reference materials for the teaching of the new semester course of Nanjing University through sorting out and summarizing their teaching experience and existing problem.At the same time,I participated in the teaching practice of NJU in the role of teaching assistant,and recorded the teaching process of NJU.I elaborated,analyzed and summarized the teaching practice,and made corresponding adjustments to the existing teaching plan according to the actual situation of the teaching.Promote the quality development of the next semester teaching.My graduation project is a trial of this subject.The project is the renovation and expansion of the university student fitness center.The base is located at the NJU GULOU campus,where Lv Zhihe swimming pool are located.The new building mainly consists of 4 fitness functions and a swimming pool and related facilities.The main structure of the reserved building is unchanged,and the facade can be modified according to the design requirements.The site mainly has east-west height differences and negative space in the northeast corner.How to deal with these two problems and activate the venue inspired the design concept.At the same time,on the basis of satisfying the basic functional area,the problems of large-span structural form,structural selection and space shaping,building materials and construction,and renovation between new and old buildings are studied.Large span spaces and some active public spaces are designed to construction level.This design hopes to transform the university's fitness center into a vitality zone of the campus,including the old gymnasium,the playground and the ancient building group on the south side.
