In the Information age,the media technology generated by the digital revolution has been involved in every aspect of daily life.Information sensing technology, internet and other technologies,as well as their mobility and virtualization characteristics have profoundly changed city and the distribution form of public Spaces. This also affects the architecture, which then gives rise to the new architectural form as media architecture.Firstly, this paper discusses media, information technology and architecture, and adopted the concept of architectural medium to understand media architecture that generated by information technology.Secondly, public space in the city shows a declining trend under the triple attack of rapid traffic, commercial culture and electronic media after the modernist planning. The information infrastructure in the city further weakens the importance of public space in the local city by changing the spatial distribution form of the city. How to activate urban public life is an important problem to be solved in this paper. At the same time, under the influence of architectural media in the information age, media architecture has formed a brand new influence on public space. Its interactive property may play a positive role in the reconstruction of public life in the city.In the face of the current situation, this paper raises the coupling design logic of public space based on the various interaction ways of media architecture, hoping to be helpful to the design of public space in the information age and supplement the design methods of architecture and city.At the same time,it is hoped that architects can make full use of emerging media technologies,so as to continuously improve the design level and urban environmental quality.
