With the development of world economy and population growth,global energy crisis and environmental pollution problems loom larger,in order to alleviate a variety of adverse factors bringing by those cases,countries around the world began to vigorously develop clean and renewable energy such as solar energy,geothermal energy,wind energy,Tidal energy to replace the primary energy.The development and utilization degree of solar and wind energy is far higher than other new energy.In this paper the so called energy tower is just converting solar energy into wind energy to generate electricity.Energy power generation device is the large wind turbines placed around the circumference of the bottom of the tower,the blades are key part of wind turbines,so designing suitable aerodynamic shape for the wind turbine blade is the key to ensure the normal and efficient performance of the wind turbine.In this paper,based on the conditions of the energy tower with design capacity,energy tower construction area and preinstalled wind turbine units,we can calculated a single power of 4.5 MW wind turbines,and based on the designed blade aerodynamic shape and carry on the numerical simulation,the main contents are as follows:The aerodynamic theory of wind turbine blades is studied,and the blade design model is deduced based on the empirical formula and the definition formula.By comparing the traditional airfoil and wind turbine airfoil the blade airfoil used in this design is S818\S819\S825\S826\EPPLER 555.Optimal attack angle of blade sections are determined by profili software.Linear fitting correction has been done to calculate the chord length and twist angle.Finally,draw the blade and flow field solid model by UG software.The flow field and the two-dimensional flow field of each main section of the blade are divided by the GAMBIT software and the boundary conditions are set.FLUENT software was used to simulate the blade flow field and the main cross section flow field under rated wind speed.Choose SST k-? turbulence model,select MRF moving reference frame.The velocity and pressure distribution on the blade surface were observed and analyzed.The flow profile of airfoil and the distribution of blade surface pressure are clarified,which is the preparation of material selection and further simulation.Finally,the wind power is 4.6MW,the actual power is 4.5MW,the wind energy utilization coefficient is 0.35 and the design value is about 0.4.The deviation is small,which proves that the designed wind turbine blade can meet the requirement of energy tower.
