In human activities,the utilization and development of water resources has an unparalleled irreplaceable role in the sustainable development of human society,and the recycling of water resources is heavily dependent on hydraulic structures,especially dams.Gravity dam is the most important dam type in water conservancy project.Because of its safety,reliability,simple technology and good adaptability to geological conditions,it has become the most widely used dam type in water conservancy projects.Incalculable losses to people's lives and property.A gravity dam is a large-scale water-blocking building constructed of concrete or masonry,which relies on its own weight to maintain stability and is subjected to high stress and multiple stress loads.The gravity dam is complicated in force and has many factors affecting the structural safety of the dam.Therefore,it is of great theoretical significance and practical value to carry out detailed calculation and analysis on the safety of dam structural design.This paper relies on the design of a concrete gravity dam in the upper reaches of the Yellow River tributary.According to the engineering industry norms and material mechanics,structural mechanics,hydraulics and other theoretical knowledge,the strength,stiffness and stability of concrete gravity dam are calculated and analyzed.Calculations proves that:(1)The section size of the dam,the size of the overflow dam section,the elevation of the dam crest and the layout of the dam crest,the size of the dam inside the dam and the joint of the dam and the water stop structure are required to meet the requirements of safety,economy,rationality and practicality;(2)Under the action of dynamic and static loads,the designed dam body has anti-sliding stability and dam foundation stress to meet the relevant specifications;(3)The layout scheme and contour size of the dam body drainage structure are relatively superior,meeting the requirements of water discharge and structural stability;(4)The foundation excavation and basic treatment plan are in line with the actual project and economical,but in the implementation process,strict quality control system and acceptance system should be strictly ensured to ensure the quality of the project.
