As a hub connecting the pearl river delta and the southwest of Guangdong province,Guangdong Yunfu has jurisdiction over the Yuncheng district,Yunan district,Yunan county,Xinxing county and Luoding city with a population of about 3.5million.Along with the rapid development of social economy,safe and stable operation of power grid becomes closely related to the overall economic and social development of Yunfu region.As declared in “the national power development ‘13th five-year plan'”,power electricity is a basic industry connecting the national economy and people's livelihood.Power supply and security are related to national security strategy and overall economic and social development.In face of the new situation of the country,leaders of the Party Central Committee and the State Council clearly put forward the energy development strategy of promoting consumption,supply,technology and institutional revolution while strengthening international cooperation in omni-directional way",and also the development policy of " economical,clean and safe" for energy usage.The above policies provide fundamental principle for the sustainable and healthy development of power industry.Operation and maintenance of substation is a significant part for the operation and management of substations,playing an important role for the safe and stable operation of power grid.Traditionally,the operation and maintenance of substation equipment is mainly performed by the operation and maintenance personnel,who are responsible for the routine operation and maintenance management.nevertheless,with the operation of the first digital substation(i.e.,the 220 kV Duyang substation)in Yunfu area,and the practical application of robot technology in the operation and maintenance of power substation,the traditional operation and maintenance approach for power transformation equipment appears to be unsuitable to meet the requirements of the current development for power substation.The traditional operation and maintenance management approach for power substation equipment in Yunfu is firstly elaborated.Then the common problems of operation and maintenance for substation equipment as well as the safety accidents of power network equipment appeared in Yunfu recent years are thoroughly analyzed.Based on the problems exposed by the accidents and the practical application of new technologies in the operation and maintenance for power substation equipment,the shortcomings of traditional operation and maintenance approach for power transmission equipment are clarified.By studying the features of substations under the new environment,a more accurate and comprehensive operation and maintenance strategy for substation equipment is proposed.The new operation and maintenance strategy refines the regular maintenance projects and work focus of the substation.Specifically,it adds the maintenance project for power outage,and supplements the key seasonal work for substation based on the traditional operation and maintenance status for substations.Meanwhile,it adjusts and optimizes the daily maintenance and professional maintenance cycle for the equipment.In addition,according to the application of new technologies and techniques in substations,the cooperative operation and maintenance scheme with the participation of substation robot is added.This approach can furtherly improve the management level of operation and maintenance and also enhance the reliability of power supply.The newly developed equipment operation and maintenance strategy is of great economic and practical significance to ensure the safe operation of power grid.
