Because of its simple structure,low power consumption and high efficiency,the multi-output switching power supply based on TOPSwitch has been widely used in military,industrial,communications,consumer electronics and other small power systems.As the core of the system,the performance of the system and the reliability of its life directly affect the normal operation of the whole system.Therefore,it has a great significance to analyze the performance and predict the life.In view of the above problems,this paper analyzes the working principle and characteristics of flyback switching power supply,and gives the indexes,methods and standards of performance evaluation.In this paper,the evaluation methods include functional test,protection action test and safety specification test and the reliability test is extended to the life prediction and evaluation of switching mode power supply(SMPS).The next,this paper analyzes the life prediction from the components of the SMPS and has analyzed the structure,the principle and the failure mechanism of the electrolytic capacitor.We found that the key factors leading to the failure and the termination of life are electrical stress and thermal stress.So this paper gives a comprehensive prediction model based on Arrhenius theory.The model is used to evaluate the actual life under the condition of actual temperature and electric stress with different influence coefficient which caused by basic life,the different temperature stress and electric stress.At the same time,this paper also gives the test method for the key parameters of the model,and uses the accelerated aging experiment with experimental data analysis to verify the model.In this paper,the test data and the results are analyzed by testing the target power supply.According to the analysis,the efficiency of the power supply in the case of full load is slightly lower than the standard but the comprehensive adjustment rate and cross adjustment rate is much higher than the standard.For other indicators such as ripple,safety and protection functions are within the standard range.Finally,the prediction model is verified,and the error rate of the prediction model is 10.2%.So the target power life(65 degrees C)considering the error rate is 101467h-112993 h.Through the above analysis,the performance analysis and comprehensive evaluation of the switching power supply is realized.
