Prosperous construction of campus caused numerous problems along with the urbanization and the great upsurge of the construction of campus in China,the phenomena of “Watching the Sea” is becoming more and more prominent and arousing a community of common concern.And yet,in China,research in stormwater management according to the analysis upon the public space of college campus is rather weak,practical cases related and evaluation-and-feedback of completed project are sorely lacking.Based on the above background,firstly,this paper analyzed and discussed the advances in the basic theory and practical application of stormwater management in college campus,the system of theories of sponge city based on the idea of Low Impact Development(LID)from the perspective of landscape,and proposed the concept,function,technical measures and the way of evaluation of sponge campus according to the characteristics of public space of college campus.Then,this paper took the built-up areas of pilot projects of sponge campus in main campus of Huazhong University of Science and Technology as example,evaluated the completed project from two aspects of engineering measures and non-engineering measures and flow back the result of evaluation into the optimization strategies of the sponge campus on the basis of a 16-month research and monitoring on the point,and combing the usage of the method of AcrGIS spatial analysis.Finally,explored the landscape planning strategies of universal significance and the mean of landscape system constructing of the sponge campus.This paper mainly discusses the following aspects of content:(1)Case studies,based on the analysis of LID construction of special plan ofHuazhong University of Science and Technology water supply and sewage,and based on the field investigation,this paper analyzed the combining of the layout of LID facilities and the characteristic of spaces,introduce the function,structure and design of every single LID technical measures,finally,analyzed the plant design in project from the aspect of growth habit,the position and application range in detail.(2)Case estimation,based on the completed project,firstly,this paper analyzed the siting and managerial control for rainwater of this project by using the method of AcrGIS spatial analysis,AcrGIS hydrological analysis can analyze the orientation and path of rain-water runoff of every single area,thus distinguishes the worst rainwater-affected areas,this paper overlaid every single area and the result of hydrological analysis,and produced one single map to verified the rationality of project site selection.secondly,this paper evaluated managerial control for rainwater of every single technical measures by conducting on-the-spot inspection and experiment,the primary goals of the evaluation include: the standing water of facilities,inlet/outlet,sediment,erosion/scouring,mulch,sewage capability,and so on.Then,analyzed the growing situations and the landscape changes of plants over the long-term photo recording and observation.Finally,analyzed the public perception and visual effects of project through questionnaire and interview,the conclusion include:lacking of sign(100%),lacking of plants(75.2%),poor landscape effects(54.9%),lacking of maintenance administration(39.8%),seem obtrusive(31.9%),deeming a safety risk(22.1%),interacting with activities(15.9%),some others(7.1%)by analyzing 113 survey results through Excel statistics data editing software,there is a poor public perception over this sponge campus project.(3)Optimization strategies,according to the results of evaluation of pilot projects of sponge campus in main campus of Huazhong University of Science and Technology,combing the overall environment characteristic and overall planning of campus,proposingoptimization strategies of landscape from four aspects: optimization strategies of managerial control for rainwater in a area-range,optimization strategies of managerial control for rainwater of every single technical measures,optimization strategies of plants landscape,optimization strategies of public perception and visual promotion.Hope this research can provide some references for the follow-up construction of the sponge campus in main campus of Huazhong University of Science and Technology,and promoting its application nationwide in the future.
