With the accelerating development of C hina's society and urbanization and the increasing speed of population aging,the pension problem has become a major one that C hinese society is facing.In this context,the traditional pension model is facing great challenge,children's ability are weak in the family endowment model,the community endowment service is also weak,aging in institut ions means the elderly have to be far from fr iends and families,and it 's hard to get a bed there.China's pension system needs new pension models and facilities to solve these problems.The proposal of embedded retirement model provides a great idea to solve these problems.As a starting point,this study constructed the embedded retirement facilities' design principle and method,based on the definition of concepts and theories,this paper puts forward the design process and the method of each stage,defines the general design idea of embedded retirement facilities,which laid a foundation for subsequent research and practice.The research is carried out from three aspects.First,the basic theory of embedded retirement facilities is constructed.This paper expounds the concept of embedded retirement facilities and its meaning and core,clarif ies its design object: function-space and embedded carrier,embedded types: empty space and architectural space,embedded mode: internal adjustment embedding,external extension embedding and decentralized embedding.Then the design process of the function-space and its embedded design are described.Finally,the goal of the design of embedded retirement facilit ies is clarified: to meet the needs of community pension,to adapt the cultural context of the community,to upgrade the utilization effic iency of facilities,and to accord with the concept of sustainable development.Secondly,the design method of function-space pattern is discussed.First,this paper defines the princ iple of function-space pattern design,and the design method of layout mode for each single functional space is discussed,in which part the design method of space dimension,interface and equipment are pointed out.Then the design method of major function-space composite mode for embedded retirement facilities is further determined.The design method of function-space combination mode is proposed at last,including full-time nursery,day care and mixed type embedded retirement facilities.Finally,the research on embedd ing design of function-space is studied.After completing the design of function-space pattern,it needs to be embedded into the carrier in community to complete the fina l design.This part first has been clear about the embedd ing design princip les,then the paper analyzes the situation of embedded carriers' restrictions and application condit ions,and then from two aspects,the design method is discussed,includ ing embedded into the carrier for the empty space and architectural space from two angles,which are the adaptive design of function-spaces and embedded carriers.The embedded retiredment system is to solve the problems brought by tradit ional pension mode,and it is faced with the restriction of various environment of the communit y.After the interpretation of the concept,the core proble m and the design object,etc,the paper has constructed the design method and system,and put forward solutions of various environmental restrictions for embedded retirement facilities.The research provides some kind of reference to solve the problems of China's endowment facilities,which is of great significance.
