Abstract/Summary:
As the most common used office unit,open-plan office has brought about some problems to indoor environment while improving the space utilization.Existing researches has shown that indoor air temperature has a great effect on work efficiency and the lower temperature boosts human work efficiency within a certain range.However,there often exist the phenomenons of overheating in winter in severe cold regions,which do harm to human health and waste energy at the same time.The study aims to propose energy-efficienct form design strategies for open-plan office according to analysis of energy consumption simulation results for different form design parameters based on the optimal temperature range.By analyzing elements for the work effciency of modern tasks,the study illustrates the principles and specific content of two work efficiency evaluation methods including neurobehaviour tests and subjective investigation.In view of thermal adaptation theory,the research proposes the range of thermal neutral temperature and optimal temperature for work efficiency based on the thermal neutral temperature in office buildings in severe cold regions during different seasons and the effect of indoor temeperature on work efficiency concluded from existing related researches.With comprehensive consideration of the requirements of thermal comfort,health and efficiency of office staff,the optimal temperature of office is raised.The study defines the form and non-form impact factors and chooses proper simulation tool based on analysis of influence factors for energy consumption,which serves as the theoritical support for the establishment of typical open-plan office and the defination of simulation boundary conditions,based on which a sample survey is implemented to establish the typical model of open-plan office in severe cold regions with defined boundary conditions.Open-plan office can be categoried into three types according to its plan positions.The research applies the controlling variable method to study the effect of orientation,shape design parameters and window-to-wall ratio on simulation results of energy consumption and propose regression models for each parameters in order to instruct energy-efficient design for open-plan office in severe cold regions.
