| Solar electrical energy generation technology is one of the important renewable energy technologies,which has attracted people’s attention.However,in order to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the solar power station,it is necessary to install a fault detection system in the solar power station.In this paper,a new fault detection method based on SP(series-parallel array)structure is proposed by studying common fault detection methods.The number of sensors is reduced by using the cross multiplexing technology of voltage sensors,and the detection range is expanded by using relay in the detection structure.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.By studying common fault detection methods,most detection methods are mainly used to detect only one fault area.Therefore,by studying one of the detection structures,a new photovoltaic array fault detection method is proposed.The new fault detection method can not only detect two fault areas,but also detect faults such as shading,aging,hot spots,open circuit and short-circuit.2.Using MATLAB/simulink to build the pv array verification model,the correctness of the new fault detection method proposed in this paper is verified.The fault detection method proposed in the paper is compared with the existing detection methods.The results show that the fault detection method proposed in this paper has a better detection effect.3.The new detection method proposed in this paper is applied to the fault detection system.Through the verification,the results show that the fault detection system can achieve remote positioning of the fault components,collecting of the voltage and current information of photovoltaic modules,It is concluded that the feasibility of new detection method in practical application.4.The new fault detection method is suitable for large photovoltaic arrays with high fault detection requirements.The advantage of this new fault detection method is not only to detect a fault area,but also to detect two fault regions well.The method is low cost,simple algorithm and good ability in practical application.The on-line fault detection is realized with the hardware platform. |
