| At present,China’s urbanization is developing rapidly,energy consumption is increasing.The contradiction between urbanization and energy is becoming more and more prominent.What is the impact of urbanization on energy efficiency? This is the main problem in this article.The development process of urbanization is comprehensive.The urbanization process in different regions of China is different.There may be regional differences in the impact of urbanization on energy efficiency.Therefore,the article will first study the impact of urbanization on energy efficiency as a whole,then further study the impact of urbanization on energy efficiency and discuss the main factors that influence energy efficiency from the three angles of population,industry and technology.Based on the above research ideas,this paper uses the panel data of 30 provinces in 2005-2016 years to investigate the impact of urbanization on energy efficiency by using the spatial panel measurement model.The main findings are as follows: 1)On the whole,urbanization has a positive impact on energy efficiency.From a different perspective,population urbanization has a negative impact on energy efficiency,industrial urbanization has no significant impact on energy efficiency,and technology urbanization has a positive impact on energy efficiency.2)Regionally,the urbanization in the eastern region has a positive impact on energy efficiency.The urbanization in the central and western regions has a negative impact on energy efficiency.3)In the eastern region,the population urbanization and the third industry of industrial urbanization have no significant impact on energy efficiency,the second industry of industrial urbanization has a negative impact on energy efficiency,and the technology urbanization has a positive impact on energy efficiency.In the central and western regions,the urbanization of population and the technology urbanization have no significant influence on energy efficiency.The second industry of industrial urbanization has a positive impact on energy efficiency,and the third industry of industrial urbanization has a negative impact on energy efficiency. |
