The climatic and geological factors are the two aspects which cannot be neglected in the Architectural form and layout. With the development of the age,the same buildings are increasingly losing their climate regulatory capacity, which caused a huge energy waste and environmental pollution.People are starting to shift their attention to passive technology, among which passive cooling technology in traditional dwellings has become an important research topic.First of all, this paper investigates Da Cuo dwelling transition space, and mainly classifies Da Cuo dwelling transition space of Minnan region into five types as tian, jing, shen, square and rectangle.Considering the state of Da Cuo dwelling and people's living habits, this paper will use shen as a typical type of Da Cuo dwelling transition space.Through investigation and analysis, the statistics of the functional classification and the technique for the temperature reduction of Da Cuo dwelling transition space will be obtained, which provides data support for future research.Based on the investigation, the paper studied the thermal effects of Cai's Da Cuo dwelling transition space, and studied the cooling effect of shading, natural ventilation, and evaporative cooling in Da Cuo dwelling transition space.By comparing the measured data of the air temperature and the black ball temperature of the sunshade(transition space)and the non-shade(outdoor),the results show that the outdoor, patio, hall, galleries, indoor temperature and amplitude all show a decreasing trend. The north and south sides of the roadway have the best effect to cool the air temperature and the black ball temperature.By comparing the measured thermal environment parameters of the transition space under the conditions of opening and closing the door, the influence of hot air ventilation and air pressure ventilation on the temperature and humidity of the transition space was revealed. The conclusions indicate that the impact of daytime opening and closing the door of the Da Cuo dwelling hall to the temperature is relatively low,the difference is 0.5 °C,and evenwhen the roadway and the patio are ventilated when the door is opened, the temperature is higher than the closed state. However, the ventilation of the door opening has a significant effect on the dehumidification.By measuring the air temperature under the conditions of roof spraying, transitional space recharging, and greening, the cooling effect of passive evaporation technology on the transition space was revealed. The conclusion shows that compared with the use of the storage well, the maximum temperature is 0.7°C lower than that of the greening roof, and the average temperature is lower by 0.5°C.The minimum temperature of the nighttime storage patio is only 27.7°C,0.7°C lower than that of the greening patio, and the cooling effect is even better. In this paper, based on the observation data of Cai's Da Cuo dwelling transition space thermal environment, the WBGT thermal environment evaluation index was introduced to evaluate the heat intensity of the transition space in different conditions. The results show that the transition space WBGT outside the courtyard is smaller than the temperature threshold that human body can bear, the east-west corridor WBGT is maintained at 29-31°C during the day, hall space and roadway space are all below30°C,and the sunshade effect is significant. In the summer of 13:00-14:00,the value of the WBGT under the condition of hot air ventilation is under the condition of air pressure ventilation. The traditional dwelling transition space is recommended to close the door for hot air ventilation before 13:00 in the summer, and to open the door after 13:00 for ventilation pressure ventilation.Although the water-filled patio is relatively low in air temperature during the summer, its WBGT will be higher than the green because of its high humidity. In terms of the human body's thermal intensity, the greening patio in the transitional space is superior.Based on the results,it is proposed that in the transitional space design of traditional residential houses in southern Fujian, the shading should be based on self-shading,combined with the design of ventilation for slope roofs, patios, and high open spaces to improve the effect of passive cooling technology on traditional thermal environment.
