With the rapid development of China’s urbanization,a large area of impermeable pavement rapidly expanded,covering the original city surface,rivers,lakes,and the unreasonable development and construction land destroyed the original natural hydrologic cycle,changing the natural surface of the storage capacity of rainwater,making the area for rain and flood resilience decreased gradually cause of city flood disaster frequently occurred.At the same time as the city construction occupies a total area of nearly 70% of the residential area,the water discharge and how to reasonable control is an important component of the construction of city rainwater management system.Therefore,China put forward the concept of "sponge city",according to the idea of making sponge city.In the same way as the traditional urban construction of the building community design plan,give full play to the building community’s regulation and control of Rain Water.At the same time,under the guidance of the idea of sponge building community design,This paper takes Hongyang Shangyuan as the research area,using the rainstorm management model developed by EPA to evaluate and analyze the current situation of the study area and the sponge city plan,and then draws a conclusion.(1)The paper first explains the problem of urban rainwater and the background of the construction of the sponge city and the research on it both at home and abroad.and summarizes the concept of sponge city,LID and SWMM.(2)The paper puts forward the design objectives and principles for the building community design of sponge city,introduces the layout method of LID Rain Water facilities in each part of the building community,and carries on the sponge city designto the Hongyang Shangyuan.(3)The application of SWMM model is introduced in detail,and combined with the case of Hongyang Shangyuan,the design of sponge city building community is evaluated and the conclusion is drawn.According to the above research ideas,the conclusion is drawn: the current situation scheme has affected the original natural hydrological cycle of the building community,and the comprehensive runoff coefficient of the building community designed by the sponge city scheme can meet the requirements of the urban development and construction below 0.6.Sponge city scheme can reduce surface runoff of Rain Water and promote Rain Water infiltration.Therefore,sponge city plan is superior to current scheme.
