Landscape Design Of Nursing Home Based On Horticultural Therapy

With the increasing number of elderly people,there are more and more old-age care institutions in China,which promote the development of old-age care.Due to the improvement of medical care and living standards and the changes in the elderly's old-age thinking,the simple and limited old-age care environment cannot meet the needs of their spiritual and living needs.Meanwhile,people's research on horticultural therapy continues to deepen,and it gradually recognizes that plant and man's physiology and psychology are closely related,and the role of the plant's rehabilitation and recuperation has been re-emphasized.The application of horticultural therapy to the landscape of nursing homes is conducive to improving the overall standard of nursing homes,and is also beneficial to enrich.Through the research on horticultural therapy and nursing home landscape at home and abroad,it is found that the research on horticultural therapy in China started relatively late,and the related research combined with nursing homes is also scattered.The combination and application of the two are also rare.This study explores the methods of applying horticultural treatments to landscapes,summarizes them,and landscape design for nursing homes provides with recommendations.In this thesis,literature review,case analysis,and questionnaire surveys are used to comprehensively collect and study literature on horticultural therapy and nursing home landscape design.Through reading and analyzing and combining with the application of horticultural therapy and the landscape of nursing homes at home and abroad,the problems existed in the landscape design of nursing homes are summarized,and the research direction and main ideas of this topic are determined.This article starts with the different needs of the elderly,finds out the requirements for the landscape design of nursing homes,and analyzes how to apply horticultural treatments to the landscape of nursing homes.Find practical methods for landscape design for nursing homes.The main research results of this thesis: Through the analysis of the landscape design of the nursing home,combined with the application form of horticultural therapy,the method of horticultural therapy applied in the landscape design of nursing homes was summarized:using horticultural treatments rationally,applying materials into creating landscapes in the local area,and using native plant resources to create a comfortable and healthy old-age environment.Applying these methods to the design of nursing homes,we summarized the strategies that used in plants,terrain,road pavements,water bodies,and signs to provide specific design methods for different landscape spaces in nursing homes and it is beneficial to.Finally,in order to further explain the application of horticultural therapy in nursing home landscapes,this thesis takes the landscape design of Jinzhou Anxin nursing home in Shijiazhuang City as a case,and combines the methods summarized above to make a complete landscape design.The author still has a lot of imperfections in this study,and it should be explored in more depth in the future study and research.It is hoped that the use of horticultural therapy in the landscape design of nursing homes will be helpful through this study.
