The government strongly supports and encourages green travel,People began to pursue lowcarbon life.In most cities,non-motorized transportation travel occupies a large proportion of residents' travel modes. However, the increase in the proportion of electric bicycles and the serious phenomenon of lightweight of electric bicycles have impacts on unpredictable negative in traffic management and road safety. Therefore, the research on traffic characteristics of non-motorized traffic flow is particularly important and meaningful. The traffic survey program design and data acquisition and processing are first introduced in this article, and the basic characteristics of non-motor vehicle traffic is analyzed, including the dimensions of the non-motor vehicle and the conversion factor, the non-motor vehicle traffic characteristics, the user's riding psychology and riding behavior. The non-isolated road section is divided into two basic directions: the basic road section and non-motor vehicle lanes bordering bus station.According to field survey data, speed characteristics analysis was conducted to investigate the impact of vehicle types, cyclists' gender, age, vehicle loading or carrying capacity on vehicle speed.Based on this, through the actual survey data to verify the non-motor vehicle flow speed, flow and density of the three parameters of the basic relationship,non-motor vehicle flow density-flow relationship are first studied. Then the optimal density of non-motor vehicle flow is calculated to determine the non-congested situation of this paper, and then the optimal relationship model of the speed-density and speed-flow of resumes are analyzed. In order to provide a theoretical basis for the design of safety facilities adjacent to the nonmotor vehicle lanes at the bus stops, traffic collision analysis technology was used to study the influence of passengers entering and exiting the bus platform on the traffic of adjacent non-motor Vehicle.By analyzing the conflict process and conditions of passengers entering and leaving the station and non-motor Vehicle, based on the non-conflict probability model of people, the basic capacity model under the influence of passengers entering and leaving the station is constructed. On this basis, considering the factors that affect traffic capacity specifically covering the effective width of the lane, the proportion of electric vehicles, the time barrier rate and signal reduction, the corresponding basic capacity correction factor is calculated. Finally, the actual traffic capacity model under the influence of passengers entering and leaving the station is obtained. Finally, combining the actual non-motorized operation of Zhenjiang City, the model of the optimal flow rate established in the previous article is applied to the actual situation, and the design method for the prediction width of newly built or reconstructed roads is proposed;based on the analysis of the traffic collisions at the bus station, the bus station is considered. The design of safety facilities in the adjacent non-motor vehicle lanes provides ideas and suggestions for nonmotor vehicle management are provided from the perspective of traffic participants.
