Energy and the environment is a major issue facing the world today,in order to solve this problem,renewable energy must be developed.Wind power,renewable and clean energy,possesses the most mature technologies,the most powerful market competitiveness and the greatest development potential.Therefore,the development of wind power is conducive to the improvement of the energy structure,the protection of the ecological environment,the protection of energy security and the promotion of sustainable energy development.As the installed capacity of wind power increases,the proportion of power grids increases.The randomness and gap of wind energy,with some characteristics of wind turbine causes the increase in steady-state voltage,action errors of overcurrent,protection devices,voltage drop caused by voltage fluctuation,harmonic,inrush current,at the same time,due to voltage flicker,harmonics,surge currents and other reasons,there will be voltage drop and other issues.Therefore,the grid-connected operation of wind power will largely affect the safe and stable operation of the power grid.For these reasons it's necessary to study how will the new wind farm effect the safety and stability of the power grid.Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is rich in wind resources and is an ideal place for building wind farms.The construction of Halahei Wind Farm project in Horqin Right Front Banner,Hinggan League,Inner Mongolia,plays an important role in optimizing Inner Mongolia's regional energy structure,protecting the regional environment,stimulating the local economy,and promoting the sustainable development of the energy industry.However,because the wind farm is at the end of the power supply network,the ability to withstand the impact is weak and it is easy to bring harmonic pollution,voltage fluctuations,flicker,etc.to the distribution network.Therefore to analysis of safety and stability situation before the operation of Halahei Wind Farm has not been put into operation,and propose a reasonable and effective safety and stability control plan is conducive to ensuring the safety and stability of the power system operation after the wind farm is connected to the grid.This paper establishes a typical model of Xing'an power grid based on the access scheme of Halahei Wind Farm and the simulation platform of PSD-BPA combined with relevant parameters of Xing'an power grid.After simulating the grid connected to the windfarm and analysis of the influence of the power flow,thermal stability analysis,voltage stability analysis,synchronization stability analysis and off-grid failure of the wind farm on the system,the conclusions of the safety and stability analysis of the Halahei Wind Farm after being connected to the grid were obtained.Finally,based on the safety and stability analysis results,combined with the existing safety and stability control devices of Xing'an Power Grid,the safety and stability control devices required for this project are designed to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
