Large wind farms have been integrated into power grid nowadays and will have fast development in the near future. This will impact the stability of power system due to some differences between wind farm and conventional power plant. This paper fixes attention on power flow and stability of power system with large wind farm (constant speed constant frequency wind generation included) integration. First, model of large wind farm has been investigated and seems as one equivalent wind generator. Wind generator is modeled with consideration of its shaft; Second, based on two power-flow calculation(s iterative and ??Q w /?V modification method), power flow calculation of power system with wind farm integration is improved. Iterative times and accuracy are compared with an example between different power-flow calculation methods;Third, this paper deals with the impact of large scale wind power integration on small signal stability. With the solution of the eigenvalues, a two-area system example is analyzed, small signal stability is investigated when wind farm operation parameters change such as the wind power production, the distance to integration; GRNN is used to forest small signal stability; Finally, power system transient stability has been simulated with large scale wind power integration. PSAT is used to build power system simulation model with large scale wind power integration and a three phase fault in system side. An IEEE-39 node simulation example is analyzed. Research results show different transient stability impact of power system with different kind of wind.
