To ensure the safe operation of electrical equipment on locomotive,the stable and reliable operation of vacuum circuit breakers are necessary.The vacuum circuit breaker will produce various faults during operation and the part of the faults are difficult to find,moreover,the real time monitoring of vacuum circuit breaker is necessary so that the fault can be judged and handled timely.For the following reasons,this paper presents a design of a vacuum circuit breaker fault simulator vehicle(said fault simulator vehicle after the article).so on the one hand we can achieve functional test for online diagnosis system of vacuum circuit breaker(said online diagnosis system after the article).on the other hand,fault simulator vehicle can simulate all the signals online diagnosis system can monitor.we can carry a further study of the fault problems of the vacuum circuit breaker.It analyzes the basic structure and its working principle of the vacuum circuit breaker.The electric field model of the vacuum interrupter in vacuum circuit breaker is also analyzed.Then some several common causes of its fault are discussed.Depending on the design requirements of fault simulation apparatus,it propose the design ideas and programs for fault simulation apparatus.On this basis,we build a system configuration diagram of the fault simulator device,complete the hardware design of control panel circuit and power control circuit.Then give the specific hardware circuit of the functional modules in control board.The detail analysis and the corresponding parameters of each specific hardware circuit working principle and circuit structure are also given.The design of software part of the fault simulation apparatus is done.First of all,the main module of the control board is designed,including the main program,initialization subroutine,serial sampling module subroutine.Secondly,the design of the communication driver program of the MCGS man-machine interface and the control board is completed.MCGS man-machine interface main program also is completed.Communication driver includes initialization subroutine,the analytic function subroutine,the device command function subroutine.It developed fault simulation device,completed the fault simulation test of fault simulation apparatus.We can get the corresponding fault graph through the fault simulation test,it reflects some features of vacuum circuit breaker.The device has been tested in the diagnostic apparatus of vacuum circuit breaker and achieved good results.The test results show that the device can simulate all the vacuum circuit breaker fault signals,which has reached the preliminary desired effect.
