Automobile parts are an important part of automotive.,they are all manufactured by progressive dies.Therefore,the design quality and efficiency of progressive dies are important factors in automobile development and production process.A strip usually consists of 10 to 20 stations.According to the traditional design approach,progressive die designers should design each station by manual.The traditional design approach includes too much repetitive work which is not conducive to save design time.That's why the traditional design approach has seriously hindered the improvement of design efficiency.Based on the in-depth investigation and analysis of design process of auto parts progressive die and combined with the actual demand of enterprise,the framework and structure of process design system for auto parts progressive die is clarified in this thesis.According to the design flow and demand of process design,this complex process is divided into a series of simple submodules.And the design method and key points of core submodules are discussed in detail,which solves the problems in traditional design methods.After studying blank contour curve fitting,the author proposes an algorithm of the application of linear fitting and biarc fitting.And the strip layout scheme is evaluated by considering three factors,such as the number of station,the unbalanced moment and the stability of strip.This system is developed by NX Open API,and can run on NX8.5 platform.It can be used to support the automation of process design,such as blank contour curve fitting,blank layout,cutting edge design,carrier design and process force calculation.It is proved that this system can meet the basic requirements of enterprise.The progressive die design cycle has been shortened greatly.And the design quality and efficiency of progressive die have been significantly improved.
