With the rapid development of science and technology,industrial production technology has shown a rapid development trend.Industrial mechanization,intelligent and modern production methods have replaced a large amount of traditional manual labor.In recent years,more and more domestic machine vision applications in the industrial field,smart cameras for the production automation and intelligence also began to have a wide range of needs.The study of a cost-effective smart camera is necessary in the context.This article first analyzes the hardware requirements of the smart camera,and determines the corresponding functional modules according to the specific requirements.Then comparing several mainstream visual solutions and choose the right one for smart camera design.After determining the design plan,the key devices including the host processor Zynq7030 and image sensor PYTHON300/PYTHON2000 need to be selected,and the functions and overall structure of each module of the system are given.The circuit design begins after the overall scheme of the system is determined.Schematic design includes the main processor and memory circuit structure,peripheral interface circuit,the motherboard power supply circuit and the image sensor board design.Reasonable circuit design is essential for hardware designs.After the circuit design is completed,it is necessary to combine the signal integrity and EMC knowledge to carry out the PCB design.Reasonable layout and wiring are beneficial to the normal operation of the circuit board.The DDR3 is used as an example in the PCB layout to introduce the wiring method for high-speed signals and the necessary inspection after the wiring is completed.Related processing requirements documents are needed to guide the factory to complete the production,then the entire circuit board need to be debugged with the cooperation of software developers.Hardware debugging includes static detection,related indicator testing,key signal test and various functional module tests.According to the hardware debugging results,the functional modules and interfaces of the smart camera can work normally with stable performance to meet the design requirements.
