Pumped storage power station plays a very important role in peak load regulation,frequency modulation,phase modulation and emergency reserve of power grid.It also can save energy for the power system and make sure the power grid operate stability.In the future,there is a good development in pumped storage power station.The research in pumped storage technology is still in its infancy.It needs to be developed in the aspects of hydraulic design concept,design technique and model test technology,especially in the model test technology.This thesis,the pump-turbine complete characteristic model test technology is studied,which relate to the pumped storage power station stability operation.The concept of the pump-turbine complete characteristic is proposed.The expression way of complete characteristic is illustrated.And the curve of complete characteristic at the different specific speed is compared.The research direction and main content of complete characteristic model test technology is proposed.The model test method of stable and transient operation mode is discussed.The electrical system,the test system,mechanical system and the precision of model test rig is researched.For the operation way of reversible pump-turbine,the intelligent advanced technology in electrical control system is used to ensure the model test rig stability and flexibility.In the test technology,the international advanced level of test system is studied to improve the accuracy of the model test.Combined with complete characteristics complex operation way of the reversible pump-turbine,the special mechanical system of pump-turbine model test rig is designed,which improve the stability and convenience of the model test rig.This thesis studies the complete characteristics.The model test technology and method are discussed at stable operation mode and not stable operation mode.At the stable operation mode,a lot of research has been carried out on how to improve the method,the accuracy and reliability of the model test.And the internal characteristic test technology of pump-turbine is also studied.At the not stable operation mode,the units operate not stably and operation mode change quickly.Therefore,the research on the transient operation focus on how to simulate the prototype effectively,enhance the model unit stable operation,improve the accuracy and stability of model test system,get enough test points to obtain the complete and detailed characteristic curve.The simulating of prototype unit operating characteristic is finished by switching the direction of dynamometer motor and changing the operation mode of model test pipe system.The stability operation ability of model test unit is enhanced by reducing the pipe effective cross-section area,improving the flow velocity,and increasing the damping of the model test system.Finally,the whole complete characteristic curve is obtained.The model test result of pump-turbine complete characteristics is analyzed.And the operation characteristics is obtained at the stable operation mode and not stable operation mode.The main factors influencing the stability of the pump-turbine unit is studied.And it provides the reliable test data and basis to the pump-turbine design and the pumped storage power station operation.In summary,this thesis discusses the pumped storage power station development prospects,and its role in the power grid.The complete characteristic test technology of pump-turbine unit is researched on the two aspects of steady-state mode and transient operation mode.The test technology of model external characteristic and internal characteristic is studied.The research fills a gap of the complete characteristic test technology field.
