Brake System is one of the most important part in vehicle that its function is slow down the car's speed or stop.In generally,there are 2 types in brake system that they are disc brake and drum brake.For this research,we focus on disc brake.Disc brake is a type of brake that use caliper to squeeze pairs of pads against a disc in order to create friction that retards the rotation of a shaft.Disc involves wheel hub assembly,disc brake rotor(brake disc)and caliper assembly.This brake caliper assembly is an important device of disc brake that squeezes the brake pads to the rotor the rotor surfaces.It consists of caliper bracket,slider pin,dust boots,inner-outer brake pad,caliper frame,and inside it there are piston,piston seal(rubber seal ring),piston groove.These inside assemblies although they are small things but they have a lot of influents for disc brake system especially piston seal that its function are to seal and prevent fluid from escaping through the clearance between the piston and its bore,help piston to return to its original shape,pulling the back when the brakes are released.The most of seals in brake caliper are lathe – cut “O” ring with square cross section that fit into a groove.The force characteristics(Mechanical characteristics)of the rubber seal ring in the braking process and brake were released state of the rubber brake cylinder is affected to braking performance of the vehicle.In this paper,through the measurement of the size characteristics of the piston seal groove and the rubber seal ring,the dynamic and static friction process between the piston and the sealing ring is tested.Based on the Yeoh hyperelastic model,the stress and strain characteristics of the seal rubber ring under the pre-loading state,the braking state and the brake was release state are analyzed by reasonable determination of the simulation parameters.The influence of the relevant characteristics on brake rubber in the brake cylinder and the rectangular rubber seal.The groove seal groove structure and the brake friction material are discussed and analyzed.This research paper has certain reference value and practical significance for the design and selection of brake cylinder seal.This research paper,actually analysis is contact model and material model.Research analysis used hyperelastic to analysis by using Mooney-Rivlin model and Yoeh model.Mooney – Rivlin model and Yoeh model are the models that were used in rubber seal analysis because these models are very close to real experiment.
