As a kind of inertial navigation device,laser gyroscopes are widely used in modern aviation and aerospace fields.And the sealing technology of the electrodes is one of the key technologies which have a great impact on the environment of the resonant cavity.However,at present,most of the domestic electrode indium sealing operations still carried on by manual methods,which can easily lead to inconsistent product sealing quality.Otherwise,the proficiency and the efficiency of the products can not be guaranteed easily by the manual operations.Under this circumstance,the research and development of an automatic control system for electrode indium sealing was carried out.According to the process technologies of the indium packaging operations,the priority missions and mainly difficulties of the automated indium sealing control system were listed and analyzed.Then,the overall control scheme of the control system were formulated.With the construction of the modularization,the control system was divided into five units: motion control,temperature control,force control,vacuum attachment and image acquisition.These units are integrated by the industrial personal computer to formed a completed control system.For each unit,suitable electronic devices were selected and corresponding electronics circuits were designed.And the hardware connection diagrams and electrical schematics were designed for the complete set of equipment,and the installation and commissioning of related hardware and equipment were completed.Besides,the strategies of the temperature control and force control are introduced.The overall framework and control strategy of the control software were determined,and the control program was coding based on Lab VIEW,and appropriate human-computer interaction interface was designed.When the control system were completed,the hot-embossing experiments were performed,and the accuracy of each axis was measured using an inductance micrometer,and the accuracy of temperature control and force control was measured.The experiments showed that the control system designed in this paper can meet the technical requirements of the electrode indium sealing equipment.And the control system has high reliability and could ensure the sealing quality very well.Besides,the qualification rate and production efficiency of the indium sealing product also be improved greatly.
