As our country's population aging is aggravating,the imbalance between supply and demand of nursing homes for the eldely is becoming more prominent.Restricted by the level of social economic development,also for saving resources and reducing construction costs,converting the old and unused buildings into nursing homes for the eldely has becoming a practical way to expand the construction of nursing homes.At present,the demand for the construction of nursing homes for the eldely is very common in our country.Therefore,it is of great significance to expand the construction of nursing homes for the elderly by means of reconstructing old buildings.As the elderly's physiological functions and body resistance continue to decline,the metabolic level is lower than other age groups,so the elderly have unique requirements towards the indoor thermal environment.Indoor thermal comfort standards for people of the other age groups are not suitable for indoor thermal comfort of nursing homes for the elderly.However,the research on indoor thermal environment of nursing homes for the elderly in our country only appears in fewer cities.The indoor thermal environment of nursing homes for the elderly under the climate conditions of Taiyan has not been studied yet.Therefore,using the method of on-site thermal environment test and elderly thermal comfort subjective questionnaire survey to study the indoor thermal environment of reconstructed nursing homes for the elderly in both summer and winter in Taiyuan.The correlation method and regression method are adopted to analayze the data.In addition,based on the research results of the thermal adaptability of the elderly in the reconstructed nursing homes for the elderly,making a comparative analysis of the indoor thermal environment of the reconstructed nursing homes for the elderly in accordance with the actual thermal adaptability of the elderly.The main study results are as follows:1)Get the indoor thermal environment conditions of reconstructed nursing homes for the elderly in both summer and winter in Taiyuan.It is found that there are several indoor thermal environment problems such as indoor overheating under natural ventilation in sunny days during summer,especially the top floor has the worst thermal environment.In winter,the indoor air is dry,the temperature in some rooms at some period of time is too high,while at most times,the temperature of the nursing homes' activity room is low.2)Get the evaluation model of thermal sensation between MTS and operating temperature both in summer and winter in Taiyuan.The elderly's neutral temperature are 26.0? and 22.4?,respectively in summer and winter.In summer,the comfortable temperature ranges of 80% of elderly's acceptable is 21.4?~28.8?,the comfortable temperature ranges of 90% of elderly's acceptable is 23.2?~27.0?.In winter,the comfortable temperature ranges of 80% of elderly's acceptable is 20.4?~24.5?,the comfortable temperature ranges of 90% of elderly's acceptable is 21.5?~23.4?.The thermal expectation temperature is 27.7 ? in summer,the thermal expectation temperature is 23.8? in winter,both higher than the elderly's neutral temperature.3)The PMV predict model can not predict the actual thermal sensation of the elderly precisely.The researched reconstructed nursing homes for the elderly have no air conditioning or cooling fans as the artificial cold sources,so using the aPMV model can predict the actual thermal sensation of the elderly in summer more accurately.4)The elderly show more tolerant of the hot environment,also like the warm and warm upper environment more.On the contrary,the elderly's tolerance is low towards the cold environment.The elderly have a high sense of discomfort in winter,and are prone to cold and physical discomfort during cold rainy days in summer.5)Finally,comparing the actual research results of the thermal environment and the relevant specifictions,providing parameter suggestions for the nursing home thermal environment more suitable for the Taiyuan climate and the the local elderly's thermal adaptation.For the existing problems of reconstruted nursing homes' thermal environment,the article put forward suggesions on space form,door and window position,ventilation,envelope structure and refrigeration and heating systems for optimization through the method of software simulation and so on.Hoping to provide data reference and theoretical support to expand the construction of reconstructed nursing homes for the elderly in Taiyuan and other cold regions.
