RV reducer is a kind of high precision reducer,which includes involute planetary transmission and cycloid-pin wheel drive.It has the advantages of small volume,large transmission ratio,large torsional rigidity,high transmission precision and efficiency,so it is widely used in precision machinery industry.The meshing characteristic of RV reducer has a very important influence on its carrying capacity,life,vibration and noise.Therefore,the research on the meshing characteristics of the RV reducer is of great significance for guiding the design and optimization of the RV reducer.The main works of this paper are as follows:The transmission principle and structural characteristics of RV reducer are analyzed,and the basic parameters and structural design of a RV reducer prototype are completed.The engineering drawings are also drawn up,the three-dimensional model is established,the virtual assembly of the prototype is completed,and the mechanical characteristics of the prototype are analyzed based on the classical mechanics theory.Considering the coupling effect of the first,second stage transmission,the elastic deformation of each component,the geometric structure and size of the cycloid wheel,the stiffness of the crankshaft bearing and the load deformation of the planet frame on the meshing characteristics,a finite element model for the analysis of the meshing characteristics of the RV reducer is established.Based on the meshing characteristic analysis model of the RV reducer,the meshing characteristics of the RV reducer are studied,and the influence of the thickness of the rim of the fan shaped hole of the cycloidal wheel,the modification amount,the engagement position and the load magnitude on the contact force,the number of contact teeth,the contact stress and the torsional rigidity are discussed,Which provide theoretical basis for the design of RV reducer.The experimental test on the pressure and torsional stiffness of the tooth root of the prototype is carried out,and the results of the finite element simulation analysis are compared and verified.The results show that the finite element model established in this paper can make a more accurate analysis of the meshing characteristics of the RV reducer.
